Japanese anime filtered through a Western lens has grown into its own visual language, and this project is my attempt to reinterpret it.
The visual direction comes from anime-influenced animation and the girl crush styling of K-pop groups. Tokusatsu is another major reference, and the monster designs stay close to the practical creature suits of the genre. Costume design pulls from sukajan jackets, cropped kimono silhouettes, and ninja elements.
AI-generated images and footage are mixed into a motion lyric video format, with editing and VFX completed in After Effects. Both the sound design and the visual effects push a heavy anime treatment, from impact frames to punchy hit sounds on every beat.
